INTRODUCTION

Michelle H. Rickman and Jason C. Whitaker work as a closely aligned estate management and owner’s representation partnership, supporting high-value residential and hospitality properties in complex, year-round environments.

We operate as a direct extension of ownership—bringing structure, clarity, and disciplined execution to estates where continuity, discretion, and long-term thinking matter. Our work spans estate operations, owner’s representation, and interior architecture, allowing us to bridge strategic oversight with hands-on understanding of how properties are built, lived in, and sustained over time.

Our work often involves:

  • Estate-level operations and owner’s representation in complex environments

  • Coordinating construction, logistics, and long-term property systems

  • Navigating island infrastructure, supply chains, and regulatory processes

  • Supporting continuity for owners who are present part-time or remotely

A defining aspect of our approach is Island Fluency—an understanding of how work actually gets done in The Bahamas and similar island environments. Beyond infrastructure and logistics, success depends on cultural awareness, clear communication, and respect for local context. This fluency informs how we plan, advise, and operate, reducing friction and supporting durable outcomes.

Our experience includes the development and operation of Tiny’s Bahamas, a boutique beachfront property conceived within a remote island setting. Rather than a hospitality showcase, Tiny’s serves as a working case study—shaping our understanding of logistics, weather exposure, utilities, materials, community relationships, and the systems required to maintain consistency in demanding conditions.

This ongoing oversight unfolded alongside the coordination of multiple remote private client representation and design engagements, reinforcing the importance of structure, prioritization, and clear communication across locations and time zones.

Our approach is defined by disciplined execution, practical judgment, and discretion. We are particularly aligned with environments that require resilience, adaptability, and a steady hand—whether supporting private estates, owner-led projects, or future opportunities in island and coastal settings.
